The CPSF Emergency Fund serves Vermont cancer patients and their families who are facing a financial crisis due to their illness.
Vermont patients with a financial need may apply for Emergency Fund support through their medical provider. Funds may be used to help cancer patients and their families pay for essential living needs, including:
Housing
Food
Home Heating
Utilities
Transportation to Treatment Appointments
Out-of-Pocket Medical/Prescription Expenses
Integrative Health
Childcare During Treatment Appointments
Caregiver Services
Special Clothing or Wigs
How to Apply
Emergency Fund Applications are submitted by a patient’s medical provider or social worker. Ask your medical provider or social worker for information. If your medical provider has not worked with us before, please ask them to contact us.
Eligibility
Patients must live within the state of Vermont. Patients must have a demonstrated financial need and be actively receiving treatment. A limited number of patients from Northern New York who are receiving treatment at the University of Vermont Medical Center may be eligible for funding. For more details regarding eligibility or other program guidelines, please contact your medical provider or social worker.
