There are many ways to get involved…from joining our Board of Directors to serving on a committee or volunteering at one of our special events.
Board Opportunities
Interested in making a direct impact on the lives of cancer patients? Consider supporting our organization by joining our Board of Directors!
We are especially in need of volunteers with expertise in development, marketing, special events, social media, IT and human resources.
All board members serve on one of our committees and are expected to help CPSF with development efforts. We welcome inquiries from all interested persons.
Committees
We have several committees for volunteers looking to use their skills and interests to support local cancer patients.
Committees typically meet once per month, with varying levels of time commitment between meetings.
Development and Marketing
Coordinates major gift fundraising and donor relations, helps secure event sponsorship, assists with grant writing, and works to increase public awareness about CPSF and its mission through print materials, website and social media.
Finance
Responsible for financial oversight and planning, including budgeting and reporting, investment portfolio management, tax reporting, financial policies, insurance and grant/restricted fund compliance.
Events
Organizes and implements the CPSF annual signature fundraiser and 1-2 smaller fundraising events every year. The Events Committee selects a venue and theme, secures sponsors, and coordinates event logistics with the assistance of staff.
